~Petite Sirloins with Garlic Sauce, Arugula Salad with Oil & Vinegar dressing, Onion Straws, Garlic & Shallot rice and Grilled Summer Veggies ~
Hi everyone! So I made a big dinner tonight and although it is super hot out I still cooked a delicious dinner! I made some delicious steaks with garlic sauce some vegetables, rice, onion rings and a small light salad! Enjoy:)
These onion strings were soo amazing! All I did was soak them in buttermilk for about 45 mins with salt and pepper. Then tossed them in flour with salt and pepper also. Meanwhile I heated some vegetable oil and fried them for a few minutes and the thin, crisp coating on them was so so good! This recipe is similar to one by the Pioneer Woman who has a cooking show on the Food Network and hers looked amazing and delicious too as does all her food! (I’ll link her blog below! ) Please try them!
This rice was such a nice side dish and stuck with the onion & garlic flavor. First I sautéed a shallot, and a few cloves of garlic in olive oil and then followed that with four cups of chicken stock, two cups of rice and some parsley. Finished with some salt and pepper and it was delicious!
My Plate! (minus the rice) I topped off my steak with a garlic & parsley sauce. All you do is blend those two ingredients with olive oil & some salt and pepper in the food processor and Voila!
Sea salt and pepper on the steak & grilled to medium well.
Asparagus & Summer Squash grilled with sea salt and olive oil.
I served the onion rings with a sauce that was so simple of mayo, ketchup and adobo. But it was so good with them!
The arugula salad was so light and refreshing, I made a light dressing of olive oil, red wine vinegar, salt and pepper and a touch of lemon juice. (I love lemon on anything so I couldn’t resist the little freshness it adds!)
I really hope you guys liked this post because the meal was absolutely delicious! mmmm! Thanks for reading guys!
