Fall Lipsticks – I Wish I had the Courage to Wear

Hi guys! Happy Thursday, yay were a little bit closer to the weekend. I cannot tell you how happy I am for this, it has been a crazy week and stressful week. So I figured since Fall is officially here, why not jump right into all of our fall posts, todays will be a look at a few of my favorite fall lipsticks.

I absolutely love dark lipstick colors, the purples, the browns, the dark reds all of it. But…I do not have the courage to wear it.

I can be extremely self conscious when it comes to makeup I love it dramatic and dark but feel as though I cannot pull it off. I wish I could just do it sometimes, I have a feeling that I am not the only one out there and a lot of us feel as though we can’t pull of certain trends!

I want to try to push myself to try a few of these colors but if anything they are so fun to look at and imagine the dramatic and beautiful looks we could pull off!

The first color I chose is MAC’s “Rebel”. This purple color is gorgeous and I could see it going well with maybe a medium skintone, especially with just a simple winged eyeliner, ugh gorgeous!

This next color is called “Matte Royal”, now I know yes this is a bold color, but imagine the dramatic statement you could make with this! I am not sure I could pull this off but definitely if I had brown hair I think it would be gorgeous!

The next color is called “Instigator”, and can I just say THIS IS MY FAVORITE! This deep purple color is perfect for Fall and Winter. This with a smokey eye and a dark outfit, would be BEAUTIFUL!!

I hope you guys liked this post, and I hope you’ll tell me your favorite colors for fall or maybe some tips for pulling these colors off??

  1. HI! I know how you feel about being scared of trying a bold color. Here’s a way to creep into these scary lip colors: instead of applying it fully on the lips, just do a gradient lip. Apply the color lightly in the center of your lips and blend outwards. It makes it look toned down yet the boldness of the color still appears, yet it is less “drastic”. Start with a wine color and experiment from there. ^^ Hope this helped! Please check out my blog: http://www.purejubilance.wordpress.com
