My New Skincare Routine

So I recently went to the dermatologist because I have been having some real issues with breakouts on my face. I decided to talk to my doctor about what I should be using for my skincare. So I wanted to share what what I have been using and how it has been working for me. I have been using this routine for about 3 weeks now and I am finally starting to see some results thank god!

So the face wash I am not using is the CeraVe Foaming face wash for normal to oily skin. I have very oily skin and have never really found a face wash specifically for oily skin. I really do like this one because it foams up and softens my skin and removes all my makeup.

He also told me to stop using a moisturizer to limit the oil on my skin. I also used to use a moisturizer with SPF so that was also irritating my skin we believe. So now I don’t use a moisturizer but I did buy a moisturizing primer. I went back to using my Lock it Tattoo foundation by Kat Von D, and I also started using the primer which is very hydrating and has coconut milk in it.

For acne medicine I use Epiduo Forte at night, I put it on my skin only where I do have acne which is mostly on my chin and jaw line.

During the day underneath my makeup I use Aczone which is another topical acne treatment. These two I didn’t think would work well but I really do like the results I have been seeing.

The mix of these products along with being very particular about washing my face morning and night and always taking my makeup off, I believe is really making a difference for me.

So far the skincare routine has been working well and I have been trying so hard to be particular about it!

I will continue to update you all on how it is working and I am always nervous to take pictures of my skin just because it is one of my biggest insecurities but I do plan on doing a full acne post with pictures and such!

xoxo Kate
