Powdered Sugar Cookies

These cookies are so delicious and are some of my favorite to make! When I first started cooking these were one of the first big things I made by myself and they hold a special place in my heart. I absolutely love them and I love to make them for special occasions and since one of my good friends just recently had a baby I decided to make them! I wanted to share my recipe and hope you will try it out, they are soft and sweet and so delicious!!

Here’s my recipe:

What you will need:

4 cups flour

2 eggs

teaspoon vanilla

teaspoon baking powder

teaspoon cream of tartar

1 cup of vegetable oil

1 cup of butter

1 cup of powdered sugar

1 cup of white sugar

1/2 teaspoon of salt

Mix and whisk together the flour, salt, powdered sugar and cream of tartar.

In a separate bowl mix the white sugar, eggs, and soft butter. I like to melt the two sticks for about 10 seconds to soften them enough to mix!

Then add the vanilla.

Now slowly add in the dry ingredients, I add them in in three parts to make sure that it is all mixed thoroughly.

This should make a pretty soft dough, and let me tell you this recipe makes a ton of dough! I fill up about 4 or 5 cookie sheets making these so be ready for a lot of cookies!

I use an ice cream scoop to make these balls all the same size so that the cookies stay the same size.

Bake these for just about 6-8 mins and watch them carefully. I take them out when they are a little undercooked so that they stay soft!

The best part about thee cookies is that they can be decorated for different occasions with different sprinkles.

Put the cookies on a cooling rack for about 20 mins and then I put them in a cute little Christmas box!
