So the last few months or so I have really been focusing a lot on skincare. I want nothing more than to have clear and healthy skin, coming from someone who has dealt with acne for literally 10 years, yes 10, its all I want. At one point after I went on Accutane, I did have extremely clear skin that was in awesome shape, but now over the last year my skin has been rocky.
What causes my acne mostly is stress, but I have found that this routine has helped a lot to clear and keep my skin in check. It has limited my breakouts and cleared a lot of them. It has also helped a lot with the texture and how oily my skin is.
CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser for normal to Oily Skin – This cleanser is awesome for sensitive skin, it doesn’t have any strong smells or anything to irritate, it foams up and really cleanses your skin of makeup, oil, etc. I usually wash my skin twice with this in the morning and once at night.
Biore Baking Soda Cleanser – This scrub I just recently started using maybe a month ago and I love it. It really does exfoliate my skin gently (The one thing I wish is that it exfoliated a little more!) It also cleans my pores especially around my nose well. I use this at night after the CeraVe cleanser.
Micellar Cleansing Water – You have probably seen this literally everywhere! It is most commonly seen from the brand Garnier, but many skincare and beauty brands have a version of this water now. The one I use is the CVS brand and I love it! (And its cheaper!) I use this to remove makeup and oil form my skin. At the end of the day I use a cotton round with this and remove all my makeup then in the morning I use it to remove oil from the night time.
CeraVe Lotion – This lotion is so gentle on the skin! I use it twice a day and I literally cannot live without it. I cannot live without a moisturizer on my face, and this is one I have been using for probably two years. I used to use a lotion with SPF but I thought that the SPF was causing breakouts which it can sometimes, so I began using this and it has helped so much!
